Outting

We drove out to Graves Farm, for our second visit ever and after passing a small group involved in an Audobon tour, we had the sanctuary to ourselves. And the peepers that are still peeping. And the efts that are still emerging from the fallen leaves when the drips of rain begin to seep through the branches. Then there were the crows and chickadees. The beaver (but, can I really count those? They were sleeping in their mud huts.) The fungi that was still growing, in smaller patches, but not quite done for the season. AND that Ravenel's stinkhorn that was growing in the middle of a dying tree stump! P-U!

What a lovely outting!
